Last night was pretty awesome, I'm not gonna lie.
So at around eight Uri and Pete come in and complain that there's nothing to do around Fulton. It's true, most Fultonites were either home for the weekend or away at the LEAD retreat. So I suggested we play on my not-so-healthy XBox. Uri and Pete setteled down and we played Left 4 Dead.
Before we started playing, Uri brings in his amps and laptop and starts blasting techno/dance/etc... some crazy experimental stuff. We can't hear crap on the TV but we're having fun.
We finish up at around 9:30, when Lindsey and Lauren walk in. They start talking to me and we're having a nice time. When out of the blue Lindsey's all like: I want to play Rock Band! Let's play! So I "borrow" John's Rock Band 2 disk and plop it in. And I attach my drums and guitar... and find out the XBox LIVE mics work... limitedly.
We start up and Uri and John enter back in. John plugs in his guitar, and we're all set.
We all play for hours and hours, struggling through hard songs and easy songs alike. It was tons of trouble but load of fun. We play until visitation ends: 12:00... it's also the time Lindsay needs to do her final RA rounds. So she was done as well as Lauren.
So Uri, John, Pete and I finish up some more songs. We play until about 1:20, so none of us got to sleep until around 2. It was pretty crazy.
Oh ya! Uri hooked up his amps to my TV and my room was shaking with rock songs blasting our eardrums out. It was truly epic.
What a slick night, I want to do that more often on Fridays.
